So many orders have come in for my Goldfish wedding stationery. It all began as a greeting card and now so many couples have requested it for their wedding themes! This past week I got to print and ship several packages. The two color palettes we used were gold and lavender and navy blue with a golden orange. They looked amazing!

{Halloween} YSL Masquerade Ball NYC
•November 2, 2009 • Leave a CommentHope everyone had an awesome Halloween. I love the holiday for all the effort put into costumes. I give stink eyes to anyone who doesn’t dress up, I mean, it’s so easy to pick up a prop and instantly be in costume! Geez, but for those over-achievers on the holiday I bow down, and embrace all the creativity and effort that is shown. I love it!
I have always wanted to attend a masquerade ball. One where masks are mandatory if nothing else and voila a masquerade ball is born! For one party this year, I actually brought my red feathered Mardi Gras mask, but I would have loved to see this as a party theme across the board.
Leave it to YSL to handle it. They held a huge masquerade ball in an old church in New York this year to promote their new fragrance YSL Parisienne. Apparently this was also an event to send of five bloggers to travel the country on a Parisienne experience with YSL. LUCKY!
Here are some amazing photos from the event.

{custom} Rachel & Boris Destination Wedding Invitations
•October 30, 2009 • Leave a CommentLast week before I took a little trip to San Francisco, I was able to complete and deliver these beauties to Rachel. If you remember the Save the Dates then you know these were going to be amazing color palette of chocolate dipped in a sea of aqua and white. Such a delicious combo! We used chocolate pocket folds to hold all the elements. We kept with the aqua colored envelopes, and once you open the envelope, their emblem was raised on the cover. Such a treat on whats to come!
The invitation was on the inside front flap accompanied by a double-sided Map card, Accommodations card and a RSVP postcard. All printed on crisp white linen card stock. Don’t forget Rachel ordered a custom rubber stamp to make labeling these envelopes a cinch!
I love doing custom work and Rachel is just a doll to work with. So much more to come! Think favors and welcome cards. Oh yeah! Such a completely detailed event. What do you think?
{fashion stakeout} White Haute: Fall 2009 Bridal Fashion Week
•October 20, 2009 • Leave a CommentI couldn’t wait to see the fashion coming out of this years Fall 2009 New York Bridal Fashion Week. I reported earlier this year on Vera Wang 2010 gowns and I gushed on how gorgeous and unique dresses have become. Here are some of my favorites collected from GetMarried.com. All I can say is texture, texture, texture! I love it. -xx
I love seeing designs that are different, that stand out. Taking something so pure as a white wedding dress and having it take on the personality of the bride wearing it is quite the task. The sneak peek photos above do this best. They have personality, they have character. I love it. I can’t wait to see more! A wedding dress, much like your wedding stationery, should be totally reflective of you. The short dress above is so flirty and fun, the beige is honest, the top layered ruffled texture is romantic. It is all you!
{Faux Museum} Long Beach Luncheon
•October 15, 2009 • 1 CommentLast week I had the pleasure to meet the women behind Faux Museum makers of these gorgeous gold trompe-l’œil Pop-Up-Art Frames. It was so fabulous to meet other Long Beach business creatives. We gathered to discuss future projects and possible co-opportunities for getting the Long Beach community amped about local business; mainly ours! So stay tuned!

Suzette Mehler was such a delight and so honest and sincere about her love for her products. She stands behind them. Some she actually can! The size of the the frames range from 5″ x 3″ to 16″ x 20″! I had the treat of taking the Parisienne frame home. It was so easy to put together and they even have an awesome video on their site to help you out.
Too cool! What do you think? Maybe I can set this up at my craft booth and get everyone’s attention right away!
{Styled Chic No. 2} Refined Rustic Invitations
•October 14, 2009 • 1 CommentLast week’s Styled Chic challenge began with a photo. No. 2 in the Styled Chic design series began with a rustic room full of earthy tones and an organic feel. When I really look at this room I think everything is just so well put together and everything has it’s spot. This room, to me, is very well buttoned up. This couple isn’t posh or over-the-top, but rather takes joy in simple clean organized environments.

I took the idea of being buttoned up and played with an invitation set that is so well put together that it incorporates buttons! Too fun! I pulled all the earthy tones and started with a chocolate brown button and string square envelope.

Then I added some embellishment. I added a single button to both the Invitation and RSVP card with string going around the cards.

The Invitation & RSVP card.

Everything in this set revolves around an earthy palette and attention to details. The string is yellow and green, the backer card is recycled kraft paper and the chocolate envelopes couldn’t be any more perfect. Stay tuned to see this set featured as a new design in my Signature Collection. What do you think?
{fashion stakeout} It’s All in the Details
•October 12, 2009 • 2 CommentsWhether creating my own design for a client or a Signature Collection, no design is successful unless every detail has been addressed. This isn’t to say that something should be overdone or that everything needs to have something applied to it or that it needs to have a touch from a magic wand. Sometimes design and it’s details are best when they are left, untouched. Simplicity can be so powerful and can change anything from bland to gorgeous. With fashion, for instance, wearing a basic black and white dress can be simple and cute, but add some red lipstick and red heels, and viola! Gorgeous.
For those who don’t want to dabble in the boldness of wearing red lipstick (although I highly recommend it!) try adding accessories. Adding a unique necklace or bold ring can add so much to any basic outfit. These jewels from Ach Ach Liebling do just that. This quirky designs capture an interest in design all on their own and would add interest to any look. Adding texture and graphic interest are key for all my stationery designs and it all stems from these basic fashion styling tips.
This black glass ring would be an adorable accent against almost any bright color polish. Think reds, plums, raspberries or muted pinks.
{Styled Chic No. 2} Refined Rustic
•October 5, 2009 • 1 CommentThis week’s Styled Chic challenge begins with a rustic room design. This couple is all about exposed textures, raw materials, great craftsmanship and being completely clean edged and put together. Earth tones and a light airy feeling.

Earth tones and Eco-friendly materials with quality rock their world and they find personal touches in details. They will be marrying in the fall when the leaves begin to turn and there is a crispness in the air. They love the moments they can cuddle up in a warm blanket together and love taking rides on their bikes to the local farmer’s market.
Tune in next week to see my answer to this Refined Rustic design challenge.
